UPH Taught Me To Serve Wholeheartedly

Working in the tourism industry has been Fernando’s passion since high school. His choice to continue his studies at UPH School of Tourism and Hotel was felt to be the right choice. Fernando, an alumnus to UPH Tourism Business cohort 2004 admits that his foremost consideration comes from UPH’s complete facilities. But after attending his first class and interacted with his friends and lecturers, Fernando felt more assured.

“At UPH, lecturers are professional yet engaging. They made college feel like something I look forward to every day. It truly felt like my second home,” Fernando reminisced.

Fernando further admits that during his studies at UPH, he was encouraged to be down to earth, took care of the environment, notices the needy and help them sincerely – these values are really applicable in his career as service is the heart of the industry.

“However the customer responds, we need to reply them with a smile,” Fernando says.

The aforementioned things are the small things Fernando always applies in his daily life, whether during his work at MG Group or at PT. Multi Project Creative. Furthermore, Fernando admits that working consists of two things: income and position. But the most important is passion. Fernando started his career from the bottom and is now entrusted the position of a manager. Therefore he kept on learning, as life would require of everyone. To Fernando, whatever he’s gained in STPPH he will apply and develop in his career.
