Rima's Commitment To Prepare Superior Resource Through Her Career

For Rima Purnama Sinthesia Simorangkir, UPH’s Psychology is the only campus integrating righteousness with the psychology as a science itself. The value Rima gains during her university years is now applied in her career as a Youth Coach & Counselor at Life Talk Asia. Through her job, Rima focuses on building and preparing qualified young adults.

“What is the use of position, fame, money and all else without knowing what God has trusted you or Christ-like character in them? I hoped to use my life to bring a positive impact through my work and service,” Rima admits.

With this commitment in mind, Rima works as a Youth Coach & Counselor di Life Talk. She commits to help Indonesian younger generation to find their life purpose and passion since young. Not only that, Rima also wanted these young adults to understand when people say “a well-balanced life” in every aspect – including family, social, future, health, finance, as well as relationship with God – so that they grow to become a person of competence, character, and grow love for Indonesia. The principle and commitment Rima holds in her career is inspired through the years she’s spent studying at UPH.

“I think through my studies, organization experience, and part time work while still taking classes at UPH holds a big role in shaping who I am. UPH gave me opportunities to grow spiritually, in leadership, and in character that has helped me survive the challenges this era presents me with".

Rima also admits that she loved going to campus because UPH provides a different atmosphere. ‘Feels like studying abroad’ – this is the first thing Rima says as she reminisce on the various facility UPH provides for students, including gym, swimming pool, basketball court, and soccer field, and complete book collection at UPH’s library. Rima, who is now also busy giving training to different schools, churches, and educational institution hopes that UPH can further produce graduate that lived hand-in-hand with truth, character, and technology mastery.
