Learn and Find Your Passion

At just 32 years old, Stefanie Hartanto is successful in bearing the title of a Law Doctor. When she graduated from UPH Law School at 2007, she directly proceeded in pursuing her studies until she completed all assessments in doctorate school, 2018. As of right now, Stefanie is a notary and land deed official at Tangerang District – to which includes her duty to make authentic deed.

Being a notary and land deed official has been in Stefanie’s ambition since high school although her workload is heavy. Stefanie proceeds on working with caution according to the applicable law, believing it to be a noble job. Being a notary and land deed official does not only bear the credence from their client, but also having to be neutral and not take sides. As any other job would demand, being a notary and land deed official requires a long and winding road to take.

After graduating her undergrad from UPH, Stefanie had to take her Magister Notary, go for internships, undertake the test of code of ethics, and so much more. Therefore, it is important to be sure of one’s passion before taking the decision of being a notary and land deed official. Stefanie believes that if it is according to passion, no matter how long the struggle one must go through, it will feel short and light.

“The key though, is to be grateful. All good and bad will be bearable if we thank God in whatever we go through,” Stefanie says, referring to her favorite quote that says, ‘a grateful heart is a magnet for miracle’.

Through her job, Stefanie is also grateful that she can give back to the society and Indonesia. As a notary and land deed officer, Stefanie helped contribute to the drafting of legal entity establishment for companies as well as transferring rights and names for land administration. With that said, Stefanie is grateful to have the opportunity to study at UPH as UPH taught her a lot of practical things, including student organizational activities. She believed these two factors brings positive impact as one stepped into work.
