Learning Process Shapes Character

Being a notary and land deed officer is both grace and blessing for Nency, UPH’s Law alumni cohort 2007. Its’ long process and difficulty only made her resilient and enjoy each step of the process.

“I believed this story I read. It says that the closer you get to the mountain peak, the heavier the more difficult the tier – the roads get steep, the oxygen will drop, the weather gets extreme. But once you get to the top, you won’t stop giving thanks – not only for the strength you have, but also for each obstacle you overcome. I believe that people who gets things instantly will value things differently than those who undergone hardships. Process is what shapes someone to be positive once they have to face more negativity in their surroundings,” she explains.

Today, Nency is also a part of Ikatan Notaris Indonesia, aiming to support all governmental decisions regarding law. In undergoing this profession, Nency’s secret is to always give and be the best. Through self-discipline in being truthful, kind, polite and honest, her presence in every position of importance became a blessing for others.

In fact, UPH’s motto became her work-basis. For Nency, UPH does not only become a place she studied at, but also one that succeeded in forming her into a person who has knowledge to support her job now; a woman who has a strong conviction towards God’s power and presence in everything she does – including a notary of ethics.
