Ni Putu Sri Artati, UPH Informatics Alumnus Lives Her Dreams to Contribute Back to the Society
“My career today has actually been my dream since my teenage years. I
wanted to use my talent to help others; to contribute back to the
community; to make my life meaningful. I was triggered by the fact that
there are still a lot of people out there who are not able to afford (or
did not have the same access) to education or other things that are
related,” said Ni Putu Sri Artati, UPH's
Informatics Alumni cohort 2001.
Sri, born in Tabanan, Balinese is currently serving as PT Bank Mandiri
(Persero) Tbk's Vice President of Performance Measurement, under the
Directorate of Finance & Strategy. It is Sri's responsibility to
manage corporate performance management - analyzing the bank's financial
performance as well as making guidelines to assess business units'
contribution, including products, branches, and electronic channels to
further encourage higher bank returns.
"The company I currently work in is a state-owned company and I humbled
to have the opportunity to share with others because SOEs are mandated
to not only ensure the sustainability of businesses, but also to carry
out activities which promotes our benefit as Indonesians," Sri
continued.
The responsibility that Sri is entrusted with did not come without
challenges. As the Vice President of Performance Measurement, Sri is
required to be able to collaborate across sections, seek and develop new
ideas to improve the financial performance report qualities, and
produce sharp analysis for the company. By always remembering that
learning is a part of her life process, being persistent, learning from
experience, and also respecting the customs in her workplace, Sri
believes that she will continue to grow.
For Sri, UPH is like a lamp for others. The unique friendship she's
gained in UPH rekindles sweet memories for her. “In my opinion, UPH is
unique both in terms of environment, students, and also the way it
manages its education modules. Apart from my love for the library and my
lecturers who are always available on-time on campus, I have learned
many things from my friends at UPH - especially to keep fighting, to
never give up, and finding the good in everything,” Sri concluded.
