A Meaningful Heritage

A diamond behind the world of education - this phrase describes exactly what Raymond Christantyo finds during his education at UPH, both as an management undergraduate student in 2010 as well as when he continues his Master's of Management program in 2014. “UPH upholds values that I agree upon. These values are not only important to have, but also to guide me in life: True Knowledge, Faith in Christ, and Godly Character. These three values made UPH the best a place for me to study,” says Raymond. Being educated and sharpened at UPH has helped Raymond to find his calling. Today, Raymond is entrusted be the Head of Brand and Communications at 2 higher education institutions, namely the Kalbis Institute and the Indonesia International Institute for Life Sciences (i3L). It is at UPH Raymond learn to stand firm and walk firm in his values. “When UPH taught me the Godly Character I should project wherever I go made me realize that I only live once, so I have to maximize my potential and contribute back to the society as much as I can. My contribution happens to come through education,” Raymond continues. Furthermore, Raymond also believes that dedication and good attitude are important assets to have in one's career because without dedication and good attitude, our grades will be meaningless. The values that Raymond learns at UPH has motivated him to be a blessing for others and pass it on to the coming generation. “Character education is very important. I don't want the coming generations to judge things on its money value. The most important thing is to pass on a good character and how our lives can be useful for others - this is the truest success one can achieve,” Raymond says. In the coming future, Raymond hopes that the seed UPH has planted in many may bloom and produces fruit for all Indonesia.
