A successful healthy chef pioneer in Indonesia known by his stage name Edwin Lau is an alumnus to UPH’s Faculty of Tourism, taking Hospitality study program cohort 2000. The kind of healthy lifestyle Edwin promotes is the one where food is being steamed or baked, and free of salt, oil, sugar, and seasoning.

Armed with knowledge in hotel management, Edwin admits that his studying experience at UPH’s hospitality study program comes in handy as he grows his career. Although the facilities Edwin was equipped with during his studies then weren’t as good as now, Edwin admits to be very proud to be an alumnus of UPH’s Faculty of Tourism. Edwin was also proud because UPH has planted the strong values he holds dearly up till this very day, which is compassion.

“Eversince my undergrad studies at UPH, I hold compassion dearly – especially towards the lecturers I had back then. They did not only become a teacher, but also an inspirer for their students as they grow a person-to-person relationship. Although they are experts in their fields, they are dedicated lecturers as they are when they work elsewhere,” admits Edwin.
